JoJo Siwa has proven with her book she is more than a singer and dancer. She may also one day be a motivational speaker. Her book indicates she is a great role model girls should follow. By Celebrity Reporter for Junior Hollywood Reporter Carlos Rodriquez.
From Page one this book is a page turner. It is packed with great information all girls should know about Social Media trolls, how to be themselves and accept themselves as well as being a guide parents should be using in today’s society to teach their kids how to be kind to others.
Her book is packed with great Photos of the mini super star and some just have you saying awwwww.
The one stand out in this book is that JoJo praises Abby Lee Miller all through it. She gives credit to Abby for giving her opportunities to be on her shows (AUDC and ALDC Dance Moms) Something the so called star of the show failed to do. She never says one thing negative about Abby or her Dance moms family as she calls them instead gives an inside look at what it was like being on both shows.
JoJo shares what time they arrived, The living arrangements, how long it took for the girls to accept her and left out all the negatives we have already seen on the show. Her book is all about being positive in a negative world and was an excellent read.
JoJo tells about the people behind the camera we never hear about and how wonderful she was treated by all of them.
She gives sound advice on how to build self confidence, what to do if you are being bullied and what to do if you see others being bullied. The book is just a road map to success for all preteen and teen girls in today’s society but also contains lessons parents should teach their children from birth.
It certainly contains great lessons some of the Dance Moms fandom should not only read by live by.
I don’t want to give away to much of the book but I Just want to rave over and over how good it is. I feel like I know JoJo now after reading her book. She goes into her family dynamics and how they make it work with her and her mom being in CA and her dad and brother being in Wyoming. She tells how often they fly home or the father and brother fly out. The fans assume they just stayed in CA and abandoned the family and rag on it a lot in groups on social media. JoJo proves them wrong again. YES GIRL!!
JoJo takes you step by step in her life and I learned a lot I did not know she had been involved in.
She has signed a major contract with Nickelodeon which to this reporter now makes her the most successful Dance moms cast member yet. Not only is her merchandise flying off the shelves world wide but she just keeps climbing higher and higher up the ladder.
I loved the one sentence JoJo added in her book so nonchalantly that you might miss it. She said she knows what friends are real friends and which ones want to use her friendship to get jobs. Or something to that affect. That was something I was concerned about seeing recent people pulling on her coat tails who were cruel to her on National TV.
Regardless of what the trolls who think only one star can emerge from this show this one is going to reach the top and have a life time career because she is doing it on talent and not on connections. So they might want to re think that philosophy.
JoJo gives great advice about Trolls. Do not feed them. If you interact with them it is like taking them to a buffet. Ignore them. Be kind to them and if all else fails block them. Do not give them the attention they crave.
I not only suggest all girls read this book I suggest everyone read it. Parents use it as a guide to raising positive kids, kids use it to find out ways to be happy regardless of what others think or say about you and most of all every one use it to learn how to be kind.
All Dance Moms fans should read it. I think it will give you some insight into what you think goes on.
Hi, It’s Me Sabrina Culpepper for Junior Hollywood News. My new contribution will be Girl Talk at least once a month. We hope you enjoy it.
I have been blessed with having a brother who is 11 months older than me, Yes, I know, I have heard all the jokes already. I was unplanned but still loved, yes you can get pregnant while nursing, Surprise it’s a girl!!
I have decided to share some of the life lessons I have learned by having a brother so close in age. No only is he my older brother but my best friend in the entire world.
I recently asked my brother some questions I want to share his answers with you.
Me: Why do you only start dating someone new during the summer.
Drake: Make up
Me: Excuse me? Make up? what does that have to do with anything.
Drake: Girls have it made. You see a guy and immediately you know he is cute or not. Us guys we see a beautiful girl across the room and have no clue what she really looks like.
Me: Ok what does that have to do with makeup.?
Drake: One of my first dates with someone new is boating, tubing and swimming. If the makeup survives all that she has something serious she is hiding. I want to be able to want to look at someone without make up on and still think they are cute.
Me: That is pretty shallow Drake.
Drake: Not at all. You see some of the cutest girls I have dated really look better without make up on. I love freckles and think they are adorable. Why cover them up? I can see if they have some disfiguring birth mark or big patch of discolored skin wanting to even out the skin tones but I don’t want some one who is going to cost me half my pay check at the cosmetics counter later in life.
Me: What if they refuse to go out on the water with you.?
Drake: Its not a deal breaker but it does limit the dates. I live on the water. I love the water so of course that is where I am going to want someone to want to spend time with me.
Me: What if they make up washes off and they are seriously ugly?
Drake: (Laughs) now who is being shallow
Me: Well you said you want to see them without makeup on.
Drake: I am not sure that is what I said but what I meant was I want to see them in their natural look. I want to be aware of their natural beauty. That includes how they smile, how they laugh, how they make me feel. You know me, what you see is what you get. I want a girl to be the same way with me. Don’t pretend to be a way one day and then in few weeks or months turn into the bride of Chucky.
Me: So you want to see what she looks like without make up so you trick her into going swimming? You want her to make you laugh? Is that about right?
Drake: Looks are not everything sis. She has to have confidence, she has to like herself and not always be putting herself down fishing for compliments, she has to have ambitions and know what she wants to do in her life and she has to be a good person. Looks are the last thing on the list unless she wears tons of make up. That is a deal breaker.
Me: Do you just not like makeup?
Drake: are you trying to be difficult. I never said I did not like makeup. I don’t like it when you can see it standing off the face. I don’t like it caked on and I sure don’t like it when someone puts their head on my shoulder and I have to pretreat my shirt for two hours to get all their make up out.
Me: I see so it is safe to say you are picky.
Drake: I am not picky and you are just being annoying now. Go ask someone else I am done.
Me: I love you
Drake: I will get back to you with my answer later.
We both laugh because that is our standard reply for when one of us annoys the other. I am thinking my brother doesn’t know what he likes. Either you do or you don’t like make up.
I have seen plenty of guys out in public in LA with make up on and have to admit I thought they looked nuts but if that was what they wanted to do then so be it. But make up and females just go hand in hand. It is a right of passage. It is what being a woman is about. You want to look the best you can. Besides what else do teen girls do on boring sleep overs if they don’t do each other’s make up?
Kendall Vertes posted a photo to Instagram yesterday that says “love me for me, not for what I look like” What a powerful statement coming from such a beautiful young lady. Kendall is letting fans know they need to accept people for who they are in real life not just the beauty they see on the screens.

Kendall and her mother Jill arrived on the Dance Moms scene during season two. The first thing you noticed about kendall were her eyes. They just jump right out at you but it was not long before you see the personality behind those eyes. Kendall has a great sense of humor seen on many of her you tube and snap chat videos. Her mom Jill is a riot whether meaning to be or not she always makes you laugh and it is easy to see Kendall has moms personality.
The thing fans need to understand is Kendall does not need to latch onto anyone on that show to be noticed. All she has to do is walk in front of the camera. Fans watch for different things and since we were not original fans of the show it was easier for us to notice more than dance styles, looks, or who was more popular. We saw personalities of the girls (and moms) and wonder still how on earth this mixture of personalities managed for seven seasons to work. The producers have to all be bald now from pulling their hair out!
Everyone says Kendall latched onto Maddie Zeigler to be a star. First of all we do read. And we do understand publicity. Sure Maddie is the main girl pushed to fame on this show so it is natural for them to say so and so is her BFF to get them noticed next. If you follow written reports everyone including her new step father is her BFF.
I think one of the things we love most about Kendall other than that zany personality is that every summer she is a kid. She takes time off for family and isn’t working all the time. She goes on family vacations with extended family and appears to have a well grounded family life. The fans say she is not working so she is not serious. Yes, she is very serious. She is serious that family is everything and you can not alienate your family for a career.
Kendall appears to be very close to both of her older sisters and they appear to adore her. The glue that holds any family together is spending quality time together and her family makes sure they do this.
The picture of Success is a family bonded together.
Kendall has many talents other than acting and dancing, She is a great singer. She just did not have good video producers but her voice is amazing. She plays tennis like her big sister, she is loved by her entire family who always support her on social media and in life, and I may be mistaken but I truly believe she is a daddy’s girl and loved by all her family very much.
So next time you think Kendall does not have it all think again. She has what she wants. While other kids are afraid to be out of the limelight or they will lose fans Kendall says love me as I am or don’t love me at all. She does not feel she owes her life to fame but that her life is great just like it is. She does what she wants to do and if it is not something she wants to do then she is fine with saying no. She wants to have her time with her family and friends back in Pittsburg. She wants to still have some normal life.
She knows she does not have to cheapen herself doing photo shoots not appropriate for her age. She knows she will succeed at what ever she decided to do with her future because her family breeds success and confidence in their children.
Kendall is fine. She will succeed at what ever she does because she knows the real importance of life. Be yourself. Love yourself. If others do not accept you for who you are then ignore them and continue to just be you. You cant be anyone else so do not try. Just love who you are and what you can do instead of always wanting to be someone else or have more than someone else.
Be a Kendall and accept everyone for who they are inside.
